LaVar Ball To Start Big Baller Basketball League For High School Graduates

ESPN – LaVar Ball said Wednesday that he’s launching a basketball league for nationally ranked players who have graduated from high school but don’t want to go to college.

Ball’s Junior Basketball Association, which he says is fully funded by his Big Baller Brand, plans to pay the lowest ranked player a salary of $3,000 a month and the best player $10,000 a month, Ball said. Ball is looking for 80 players to fill 10 teams that will seek to play at NBA arenas in Los Angeles, Dallas, Brooklyn and Atlanta.

“Getting these players is going to be easy,” Ball told ESPN. “This is giving guys a chance to get a jumpstart on their career, to be seen by pro scouts, and we’re going to pay them because someone has to pay these kids.”

In the latest edition of “LaVar Ball is a genius,” news broke today that LaVar is going to start his own Big Baller Basketball League for high school graduates who do not want to attend college. This is a very good idea. The One and Done rule is so dumb and hurts both college and the NBA. You either let the kids come out of high school (which I’m in favor of) or make them play at least 2 years of college. If you’re a stud in high school and you know you are going to be a one and done, there’s no way you’re focusing on school. Zero chance. Ben Simmons came out and said academics are pointless for one and done players.ย He’s 100% right. As soon as your season ends, most players are going to drop out of school to prepare for the draft. Do you really think these kids learned a lot in their 6 to 7 month stay at college? Why force them to go to school?

Now, instead of going overseas to play basketball or playing in the G-League, LaVar is giving players another option: to play in the Big Baller League. Frankly, it’s not a bad option. The exposure will be infinitely better than playing in the G-League. The Big Baller League is exactly what the G-League wants to do, but the G-League just hasn’t figured out how to get kids to skip college for their league. Sure, top players will still elect to go to major college programs. I’m not saying BB League will get the top studs, but the idea of paying players to focus on basketball and basketball only before entry into the NBA draft is pretty lucrative.

I’m about to beat a dead horse for the millionth time. LaVar Ball is playing chess while everyone else is playing checkers. He has the media in the palm of his hand. Everything he says or does creates headlines. Big Baller Brand continues to put on marketing clinics. Big Baller shoes were not well-received, but you can’t put a price on the publicity and press they drew towards the BBB. Any publicity is good publicity. Now, with a basketball league, the Big Baller Brand will continue to reach new heights.

P.S. This league was created so LiAngelo and LaMelo don’t have to play in Lithuania. No facts to prove it, but this is what I’m going to tell myself.

LaMelo Ball Gets A $395 Signature Shoe As A High School Junior

OH MY GOD

“The Balls will fade out of the spotlight.” “The Balls will just be a flash in the pan.” “They won’t be able to grow Big Baller Brand.”

Pause. It’s a great day to be a Big Baller.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. LaVar Ball is playing chess and everyone else is playing checkers. This man is a marketing GENIUS. Want to make a splash? How about give a 16-year-old their own signature shoe? I’ll be honest, it’s not a bad shoe either. It’s an even better hype video. The “Life is Sweet” with LaMelo eating cherries should be on a t-shirt. The Balls continue to make headlines and not it’s not even basketball season. As a fellow Big Baller, it’s nice to see that my boss, LaVar Ball, continues to take Big Baller Brand to the next level.

My coworker, LaMelo, also drives a lambo now. Can’t wait to take it out for a spin.

Don’t worry about Lonzo and LiAngelo. Zo drives a Mercedes and LiAngelo drives a Ferrari. I guess that’s pretty dece.

Does this put LaMelo’s NCAA eligibility into question? Yeah, probably. You think LaVar cares? NOPE!

My guess is LaMelo goes International for a year or plays in the G-League. Who knows, Maybe the Balls will be the family that takes down the NCAA and they change their rules on amateurism. It’s been a long time coming. This might be the tip of the iceberg.

Also, to everyone saying “Poor LiAngelo,” my boy is covered. We don’t forget about you, LiAngelo!

Can’t wait to talk with LaVar about my signature shoe. The DG1’s. Love working for this company.

Lonzo Ball Releases $495 Shoes and $220 FLIP FLOPS (yes, Flip Flops)

Lavar Ball strikes again!!!!!!!

I know we’re used to LordTreeSap on the 1s and 2s when it comes to sneakers, but I’m a LaVar Ball guy so I’m stepping in to talk some shoes.

In terms of the shoes, my initial reaction was “screw these” but I think that’s just because I saw the price and I was instantly turned off. We’ll get to that in a second, but as I look at them more, they’re really not that bad. If Kobe’s and Curry’s had a baby, they would be the ZO2s. When I play ball, I like high tops for ankle support. I’m also not a black shoe guy, but for a first attempt at a shoe without the support of a major brand like Nike, Adidas, or UA, it’s not bad at all.

Obviously, the main issue is the price. You know there’s a problem when a basketball shoe is higher than a pair of Jordan’s. It’s laugh out loud funny that these shoes are $495. Almost unbelievable. You know what’s more unbelievable? $220 Flip Flops hahahahaha. Now, that is a goddamn joke. If you don’t rock flip flops under $25, I don’t want to talk to you. 1K for an autographed shoe of a guy who has not played 1 minute in the NBA…Bold strategy cotton!

The logo is pretty dope though mainly because it reminds me of the X-Men.

Now let’s get to the main event. The man behind the Big Baller Brand. The man who truly does not give a shit about what anyone says, LaVar Ball.

This fucking guy. The swagger. The confidence. The perfect heel persona. I am not afraid to say this. I am a LaVar Ball guy. He is the Vince McMahon of basketball right now, maybe even the sports world.

LaVar Ball is playing chess while everyone is playing checkers. LaVar Ball has made outrageous claim after outrageous claim like how he would beat Jordan 1 on 1. It’s so ridiculous. LaVar is the kid in running bases that gets pegged, everyone sees it, but continues to play and say “No, I’m not out.” Tricking yourself into believing something. The repercussions? He gets more popular and more TV / radio appearances.

LaVar Ball goes on First Take and just goes at it with Stephen A Smith. I mean at it! Even STEPHEN A couldn’t handle the troll level that Ball is on. What happened? They invite him on AGAIN!

LaVar Ball helps Lonzo release sandals (LOL) for $220, Shoes for $495, and autographed shoes for $995. What happens? It becomes the #3 trending topic in the WORLD.

The man is trolling us all and he’s winning. People keep saying Big Baller Brand will fail, but everyone is talking about it. Whether it will lead to huge sales is still up for debate, but LaVar Ball is making his family a household name. That’s the American dream if I ever heard one.

I will never buy these shoes in a million years. I struggle to pull the trigger on $45 vans so I’d probably bury myself alive if I spent $495 on shoes. The arrogance and cockiness to release a shoe for that price is almost re2pectable at this point. If people will buy them, then more power to the Balls. God bless ya, actually.

My sick mind actually wants Lonzo to get drafted by the Knicks. From a basketball standpoint, it makes so much sense cause depsite all of this chatter, Lonzo is an awesome basketball player and exactly the player the Knicks need. That being said, LaVar Ball in New York City…I’m giddy thinking about it. He would fight with everyone at the Garden and go at it with Spike, Phil, and Dolan. This man would either run NYC or burn it to the ground. Need LaVar in NYC. Need it.
